User Information Commands


Once we know peintah format, then the next one should know also commands for the user. Ok just listened to friends.
Commands for user information such as:2.3.1 en2.3.2 hostname2.3.3 uname2.3.4 w2.3.5 WHO2.3.6 who am i2.3.7 chfn2.3.8 finger
2.3.1 enPs command is used to display the user name along with the number of users and group identity and group identity number. Example:# Id

2.3.2 hostnameHostname command is used to set or display name of current host system or are currently being used. Example# Hostname
2.3.3 unameUname command is used to display the node name of the system LINUX. Example:$ Uname
2.3.4 wThis command is used to check for anyone who is logged into your system, which will also display the information as shown uptime command. Example:# W
2.3.5 WHOCommand is used to display the users who are currently using the system.$ WhoJanuary 20 21:30 tty1 andiJanuary 20 21:35 root tty2wise tty3 January 20 21:40$ _Explanation:• andi names like, root and wise are the names of the user. In the example above there are three users who are currently using the system.• Information on the second column (tty1 .... tty3) state the name (port) terminal of each user.• Information after the terminal code stating the date and hour when pemakainmelakukan login.
2.3.6 whoamiWhoami is used to know the names of users that the terminal you are facing. Example:$ Whoamilocalhost.localdomain! andi tty1 January 20 21:30$Cohtoh above shows, the user name to log on through terminal tty1 andi on January 20, at 21:30.
2.3.7 chfnChfn command is used to change the user's full name, office number, office extension, user information phone number. Example:# Chfn
2.3.8 fingerFinger command is used to display information related to a user or a computer system, including other computers connected on a network. Example:# Finger
